ART CLASSES

Early Elementary: $365

Intermediate & High School: $425

These three arts and crafts year-long classes, for Early Elementary, Elementary, and Intermediate/High School will be focused on creating works of art around the themes of the plays put on by DeArmon C.A.S.T. this year. We will work on projects to be displayed at the shows and will be looking to these particular plays for inspiration. There is an additional $65 supply fee for each class.

GROUP VIOLIN LESSONS

Beginner: $501

In our beginners violin class we focus on music fundamentals, Students learn the parts of the instrument and the bow as well as proper positioning/posture form (seating & standing)They will be introduced to basic rhythms, note reading, and introductory pieces .

The result is a strong music foundation for a lifetime of musical enjoyment, learning, and play solo or with groups.

We use American and European methods to develop technique and basic Music theory.

MUSICAL THEATER CLASSES

Early Elementary Musical Theater - $405

Early (Ages 5 1/2 – 7): This class includes instruction in acting, music, and dance. Early Elementary is simply an introduction to the stage and gives younger students the opportunity to perform on a limited basis in the Elementary musical theater production. They will be taught basic musical theater skills such as voice projection, expression, stage movement, and music with choreography.

Elementary Musical Theater - $1081

Elementary (Ages 7 - 12): This class includes instruction in acting, music, and dance. Students will be taught the fundamentals in all three disciplines while preparing for the Elementary production. Each student will be given a character with lines, as well as learn various musical numbers with choreography. Students will be taught the basic skills needed for stage production, such as character development, voice projection, stage movement, choreography, and lyrical music. The class time will move quickly as at least three different teachers in their respective disciplines will teach the students every week.

Please note- Seven-year-old students must have at least one year of Early Elementary as a pre-requisite unless by special approval of the CAST staff.

Production Fee: $100

Intermediate Musical Theater** - $1191

Intermediate (Students born in 2009, 2010, & 2011): This Musical Theater class includes instruction in acting, music, and dance. Students will be taught the fundamentals in all three disciplines while preparing for the Intermediate production. Each student is taught the basic skills of musical theater such as character development, voice projection, stage movement, choreography, and lyrical music. The class time will move quickly as different teachers in their respective disciplines will teach the students every week.

Production Fee: $100

High School Musical Theater** - $1455

High School (Students born in 2008 and earlier): This Musical Theater class includes instruction in acting, music, and dance. All three main disciplines of musical theater- music, spoken dialogue, and dance are taught every week in this class. This Musical Theater class will be performing in two separate musicals this year- one in each semester.

PRODUCTION CLASSES

STAGECRAFT - $190

Stagecraft class is a prerequisite class for participation in a full-length production because it is crucial to understand the importance and responsibilities of the stage crew. Students will learn the duties, roles, and values of the stage crew. They will be taught the basics of set design and construction, assembly of stage properties, stage make-up, basic stage lighting, sound, and much more. After completing this course, students will be qualified to work on the stage crew for any CAST production.

DANCE

Costume fee* - $60 and Production fee** - $40 for each performing dance class.

ACROBATICS - $600

Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, agility, strength, muscle control, plus discipline and concentration. The discipline and concentration required for acrobatics carries over to many aspects of a student’s life, including academics and other athletic performance. We offer a multi-level class, where students will be instructed appropriate to their skill level, ranging from the very beginner (handstands, rolls, cartwheels etc.) to the more advanced level (handsprings, flips, twists, etc.) Basic tumbling skills offer an added bonus for any dancer or athlete. Ages 6+. This is a non-performing class.

INTERMEDIATE BALLET I & II & III - $1264

Attendance twice a week is required for this year long class, as well as a complete understanding of the basic elements of ballet. This fast-paced class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must.

JAZZ I / II / III - $600

In this year long class we will cover a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer ready to perform any style of jazz including popular fad dances. A great class for musical theater students!

JAZZ IV / Intermediate Jazz - $600

An intermediate knowledge of ballet is required for this year long class in order to keep pace and fulfill technical requirements. This artistically expressive and fun jazz class covers a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer ready to perform any style of jazz. A great class for musical theater students! Must have completed Jazz I/II/III or teacher placement only.

Intermediate JAZZ - $600

An intermediate knowledge of ballet is required for this year long class in order to keep pace and fulfill technical requirements. This artistically expressive and fun jazz class covers a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer ready to perform any style of jazz. A great class for musical theater students! Must have completed Jazz III or teacher placement only.

BALLET III - $600

Designed for those students who desire more instruction in the discipline of ballet. This year long class increases your understanding of the basic elements of ballet and prepares the student for Point Preparation Class. This class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must.

BALLET SELECT - $975

To be eligible to attend this class students must be on an Intermediate or Advanced Ballet level and currently enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes a week. Focus is on mastering and expressing intermediate steps. This is a non-performing class.

ADULT / Teen BALLET - $635

An intermediate class designed for adults and teens. Great for adults returning to ballet. This is a non-performing class.

COMBO I / II - $600

An introductory Combo I/II class is designed for children ages 6-12 who have no previous dance training or one year of previous dance training. We will cover the fundamentals and some advanced concepts of ballet and tap to prepare the student for more serious study in a preferred form.

POINTE PREP / Pointe I -$1200

Attendance twice a week is required for this year long class, as well as a complete understanding of the basic elements of ballet. This fast-paced class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must.

Pre-Dance - $600

This year-long class is specially designed to introduce basic ballet, tap, and acrobatics to children in a fun learning environment. Ages: 3-5. (must be 4 yrs. old by December 1st.)

Tap I / II / III - $600

Tap I/II/III is a multi-age beginner-level tap class designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound. Students will learn the Classical tap style. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. This is a non-performing class.

Intermediate TAP - $600

Intermediate Tap is a more advanced Tap class for students who have completed Tap I/II or adjudicate into the class to continue developing rhythm, style and sound of Classical Tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. This is a non-performing class.

* If two classes wear same costume one costume fee will be adjusted.
